New Estimator/Project Manager
We have hired Greg Depaepe as an estimator and project manager. He has a C.E.T. diploma from Fanshawe College and has estimating experience with PCL Construction Management Inc. Welcome Greg!
New Partner
Clay Shalagan is now a partner of ARC Interiors Ltd. He has been an estimator, project manager and safety supervisor for five years. Previous to this, he worked in the field for two years and obtained his second year apprenticeship. Congratulations Clay!

20 Years in Business

Congratulations Clay
Clay Shalagan, the most recent edition to our executive management team, has completed the second year of Management Studies at Grant MacEwan College. This was achieved through night classes while working full time during the day. Well done Clay!
We Are Hiring
ARC Interiors Ltd. is looking to hire and train apprentices for the steel stud and drywall trade. Tuition and wages while in school will be paid by us providing you are employed full time by us before attending class, you successfully complete the required courses and you return to work with us for 160 hours. If you are interested please see Employment and fill out an Employment Request Form.
On Screen Take-Off
We are currently experimenting with downloading architectural drawings and using software that allows us to perform our quantity take-offs on screen. Although in the early stages, we are encouraged by the results to date.
Safety Excellence
We scored a 84% in our company safety audit for 2004.

XP Session
Donna Finucane of Comp XL recently gave the staff of ARC
Interiors Ltd. a refresher course on Windows XP.
NWCB Convention
The staff of ARC Interiors attended the annual NWCB Convention in Kelowna, BC.

Goal Setting Seminar
Dianne Pearce of The Coaching Connection Corp. recently conducted a goal setting seminar for the
employees of ARC Interiors Ltd. and The Winroc Corporation.
NAIT Students Visit
Students from NAIT's Construction Engineering Technology visited the Veteran's Centre project as part of a field trip to see steel studs used to build walls and trusses.
Veteran's Centre
We have been awarded a major contract with PCL Maxam for
the Veteran's Centre in Edmonton, AB. A major feature of the project is the
steel trusses that we manufactured on site.
Gold Seal Certified
Alex Ciesielski has received the Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal
Certificate for Project Manager - Drywall/Acoustics. The certificate is
recognition that he has met the construction industry's highest
qualification standards.

Clay Shalagan has received his aerial platform
instructor certification. This allows him to certify our employees to
operate mobile lift equipment.
NWCB Convention
Alex, Clay and JJ attended the NWCB convention held May 13-16 in

AGM Election
Alex Ciesielski has been elected to the board of directors of the Alberta
Wall and Ceiling Bureau (Edmonton) for a two year term starting in April of
2004.

Armstrong World Industries will send a submittal package including a
transmittal sheet, samples and product data directly to our clients. This is
achieved via an online request form submitted by ARC Interiors Ltd.

Brett Litke and Wade Wilson of the Winroc Corporation present Alex
Ciesielski with an all expense paid trip for two to Vegas. ARC Interiors
name was drawn in a recent customer appreciation contest sponsored by
Winroc.
Safety Excellence!
A mark of 89% was achieved in our safety audit conducted in October, 2002.
The audit is a requirement of the Alberta Construction Safety Association
which leads to a Certificate of Recognition (COR). This is our tenth year of
participating in the COR program and this mark is our highest to date.
Congratulations to all employees in achieving this excellent result.
